How does the "revolutionary" interactive inTABS work?
A powerful kinaesthetic (multi-sensory) learning system to achieve fast and effective results. Uniquely, the answers to the equations are concealed which means the learner has to interact wi...
Key to math success: The times table
Research by Ofsted, the schools watchdog, concluded:
"pupils without instant recall of the multiplication table struggle in math"
Poor numeracy: more than twice as likely to be unemployed
“People with poor numeracy skills are more than twice as likely to be unemployed” (National Numeracy)
Poor numeracy: school truancy and exclusion
Children with poor numeracy are twice as likely to play truant and be excluded from school (National Numeracy)
A great product with a lot going for it: simple to use, the foundation math skill, interactive and good for dyslexics and those with special learning needs.
It makes secondary school topics like algebra so much easier if kids have instant recall of the times tables.
If I had any say in education, I would equip every Primary age student with an InTABS book – it’s a bit like a maths text that will serve kids right through their Primary education and will develop foundation skills with numbers that will support their Secondary education.
I’ve been helping kids with maths for 15 years now, including a routine that demystifies the Times Tables. I tried it out using In-Tabs on a 10 and 8 year old, and they really liked it. If you encourage them to leave open the windows they get right and close the windows they still need to work on it becomes a game: how many windows can you leave open? They can also chart their progress as the islands of closed windows get smaller. An excellent game for parents to join in for quality time.
I am a 57 year old Dyslectic and I have never been able to do my multiplications. I am already working on my sevens because this book teaches a fun way and a way that sticks in my memory.
I highly recommend this to everyone having a hard time in math.
I absolutely love this book!
This is truly amazing! My 6 year old loves it! He’s now able to answer many times table questions instantly.. and we’ve only had the book for 6 days!! Totally amazing!!
I didn’t think I’d be able to learn the times tables, especially so bloody fast. I’m 23, when I left school I gave up all hope.
The power of the book is bloody amazing.
Revolutionary! … Genius! … Fun! … Set to win the war on innumeracy.
New system that will, hopefully, change the world.
Some of the best innovation comes out of Oxfordshire.
OMG! Is this some sort of magic?!
inTabs is working with our school and I have seen nothing but total passion and commitment from this company in helping and supporting children with numeracy. Their book is amazing, innovative and engaging. For example, one of our more challenging pupils who has ADHD loved their book: “It helps your brain and I like lifting the tabs to find the answer. It’s like a game and fun. It is interesting and I like the colours“. What I found even more fascinating and an unexpected bonus to someone who is tasked with helping and supporting him, he said “We can use this book when I get angry as it helps to calm me down“! All this from a maths book and not some video game or app!
Amazing book and look forward to their next in range for numeracy books.
